Rosé All Day: Leonardo DiCaprio and More Celebrate First Rosé Day LA

Champagne campaign? Check.

As National Rosé Day kicked off Saturday, we headed to Malibu to celebrate the unofficial holiday at the first-ever Rosé Day LA bash at Saddlerock Ranch…and we were in good company.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Alessandra Ambrosio, Evan Ross and his wife Ashlee Simpson, and more were all on hand for the festivities, sipping sparkling Moet & Chandon Rosé and rosé cocktails all day in casual chic summer looks, wining and dining, and enjoying the festivities on the grounds of the rosé-filled wonderland.

I hit the bash in a rosé-hued Tularosa eyelet dress that I paired with Schutz nude wedges and had a blast at the event, toasting to summer with a glass of rosé in hand with my good friend, lifestyle curator Feven Yohannes. Feven opted for a sleek Lulus rosé pink dress and low nude heels.

As DJs Zen Freeman, Devin Lucien, and Caroline D’Amore spun hits from a pink box crate and rose-covered DJ booth, we kicked back in the cabana-lined VIP section and chatted with friends, before snapping photos at the Instagram-worthy installations on the grounds.

Although we turned the box crate DJ booth into an installation of our own, the metallic Moet & Chandon rosé trailer covered in fresh roses was our fave photo stop, with a plush interior that gave guests a place to momentarily take a break from the sun (as the afternoon went on it got hotter and hotter).

There were more photo opps to be had though – and attendees made sure to do it for the ‘gram at the Moet Rosé bottle pyramid tour, a #Moetmoments pink photo frame, and a retro minivan turned photobooth.

Since rosé  sipping can bring on the hungries, we grabbed a lobster roll from one of our fave LA food trucks – Cousins Lobster Truck – and other guests popped over to the Baby’s Burger, Coolhaus Ice cream, and the Greek food truck station. “Top Chef” Dakota Weiss collabed with Sweetfin Poké and served up tuna poke bowls as well, and “Iron Chef” Marc Forgione curated the day’s culinary experience with an exclusive menu.

As for what attendees wore to the event, the style vibe was fancy free, flirty, and flowy. Ladies rocked everything from statement-making sheer dresses to polka dot rompers (Ambrosio) to matching two-piece sets.

Rosé-hued and bright-colored summer dresses paired with sandals, wedges, and low block heels were also popular (we learned a valuable lesson for next year – go with flat sandals – or pack your Rollasoles in your clutch. There were tons of pebbles to stumble on, so you’ll probably need them if you wear even a tall block heel.)

Instagram will load in the frontend.

Guys brought it with their preppy chic stylings too, rocking white button downs, white and khaki shorts and pants, paired with loafers and sneakers.

It was our first time celebrating Rosé Day – and a day in Malibu we won’t soon forget. Cheers to more rosé filled days this summer!
