Treat Mom to a Luxury Mother’s Day Staycation at SLS Beverly Hills

Solo staycations are always a good idea.

And SLS Beverly Hills has a cute Mother’s Day staycation gift idea that is worth checking out. Their Mom Squad Staycay package is a Mother’s Day weekend retreat (May 10-12) with a curated blend of pampering, cocktails, brunch, and wellness experiences. Those experiences also include wellness classes led by celebrity trainers Latreal Mitchell and Nicole Stuart.

Whether you’re shopping for the special mom in your life or looking for a ‘treat yourself’ moment for an upcoming weekend, booking a solo staycation at the SLS Beverly Hills is worth the time. That is also true for a general booking for any upcoming trips to Los Angeles. It’s centrally located and the hotel to book if you want the best of both worlds. You can destress and relax and/or mix and mingle poolside or in the hotel’s chic speakeasy.

I did a solo staycation there recently and it brought me back to life. I left rejuvenated and refreshed. It gave me time to reflect and re-center. I highly recommend it.

Here are a few reasons things to know about the SLS – and why you should book there if you’re visiting LA or need a quick getaway:

The Rooftop Vista Pool: This is one of my fave rooftop pools in the city. In the spring and summer (and early fall), you’ll find guests and Angelenos mixing and mingling on weekends, sipping cocktails and munching on small bites in the cabanas (reservations required) and on daybeds. There are often poolside events and day parties too.

The Rooms: SO cozy and spacious. I stayed in a terrace room that had a patio with an atrium view. Sitting out there was very peaceful and the way that I started each day there.

The Perks and Decor: There’s a 24-hour fitness center and 24-hour room service, and at every turn you’ll feel like you stepped into a scene from Alice and Wonderland. There’s a fantastical element that is infused in every area of the hotel, from the lobby to the closets to the restaurant.

Food and Drinks:
There’s a really cute red-lit speakeasy tucked away near the lobby called Wasp in a Wig. The cocktails are really good, and you can take them up to your room or sip them there. In addition to room service, you can also grab bites at the pool or at the Nook restaurant – and the food is on point. The salmon salad was delicious. The truffle fries also shouldn’t be missed and neither should the vibes.

Pro Tip: Ask to be sat near a fireplace if it’s available. You’ll have your own lounge area tucked behind the general seating (which is topped with white chandeliers).
