The FAB Los Angeles Halloween Rundown: Here’s What to Do Tonight

Happy Halloween! We love celebrating the holiday, especially in Los Angeles. If you’re visiting the city on Fright Night or are a resident and looking for things to do, take a peek at our Fab Los Angeles Halloween night rundown.

Post-pumpkin picking at Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch earlier in the week, we usually continue our fright-filled week of festivities at attractions, theme parks, and parties around town.

Here are the top places we recommend for getting your Halloween on in LA tonight:

1.Los Angeles Haunted Hayride : Hop on a very creepy hayride at one of our fave haunts in town. As a pulled wagon creeps along the darkness at Griffith Park’s Old Zoo, red cloaked demons, sinister clowns, and chainsaw-clad monsters will be right there to greet you. The festive pop-up also includes two other attractions – Trick or Treat and House of Shadows. Tickets start at $40.  Get the full details in our Haunted Hayride rundown, right here.

Where: 4730 Crystal Springs Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90027 ; Hours: Doors open at 7 p.m.

2. Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights : If you’re looking for a huge scare, don’t miss this one at the Universal City amusement park, particularly if you’re a big fan of Stranger Things. The Halloween fright fest has an all-new Stranger Things attraction where those who dare to enter are chased around by a Demogorgon. It’s easy to spend the whole night here because of all of the attractions – old and new. In addition to Stranger Things, there are other new mazes like Trick ‘r Treat, The First Purge, and Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers. Also one not to miss, the Terror Tram, which takes visitors on a tour of the backlot (which is filled with crazed clowns).  Tickets are $67 and Up (get yours here).

Where: 100 Universal City Plaza, Studio City, CA 91604; Hours: Doors open at 7 p.m.

3.Knotts Scary Farm : This was one of the scariest Halloween haunts we’ve ever experienced in LA. From the time you walk through the gates at Knott’s Scary Farm, monsters pop up to scare you, chase you around, and make you scream all night. And that’s before you ever step foot in any of the attractions like the CarnEVIL scare zone and Dark Ride maze. Only go here if you are a serious thrill seeker. It’s not for the faint of heart. Tickets start at $44. Get yours here.

Where: 8039 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, CA 90620 (About 30 minutes – 1 hour outside of LA depending on traffic).  Hours: 7 p.m. – 1 a.m.

4. Cinespia’s Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory Wonderland: Presented by Amazon Studios, this Halloween-themed Cinespia is transforming the historic Los Angeles Theater into a festive Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory wonderland. A costume ball will follow the screening of the classic film, where guests will be privy to a candy palace full of live music, a DJ dance party, and treats, including a chocolate factory. As a bonus, there’s full bars on every level, a custom photo booth and prizes for the winner of the costume contest. Costumes are required for entry, and tix are $35 for general admission and $85 for premium. (Get your tickets here!)

5. Rooftop Cinema Club’s Halloween Screening: It’s the 40th anniversary of the original Halloween! The Rooftop Cinema Club – one of our fave places to watch movies outdoors in the city – is screening Halloween starts at 7:30 p.m. tonight. You can kick back in a costume (or regular clothes) and get your scare on with a cocktail from their full bar and a box of popcorn. As a heads up, you must buy tickets in advance.

Where: Rooftop of Neuehouse Hollywood – 6121 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028

6. West Hollywood Halloween Carnival: Stopping by the Halloween Carnival has been a big tradition for years for locals in LA. Carnivalgoers go all out when they hit Santa Monica Boulevard to take in the carnival and walk the streets, so make sure to go in costume. Parking is usually a nightmare, so try to use Uber/Lyft instead.

Where: Between N. Doheny Blvd. and La Cienega Blvd. on Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood;  Hours: 6:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.

Happy Halloween, Destination Fabbers!
