Consider this a wonderland for beer – and hip hop – lovers.
Budland kicked off July 14 in Los Angeles at art center Werkartz to celebrate the launch of Budweiser’s new California bottles and Tinseltown’s music, fashion, and food scene. The two-day event was everything Budweiser from the time we stepped under the strings of bright red pony piñatas and saw the glow of neon lights from the main stage.

Ty Dolla Sign
The scene was essentially an outdoor concert/party in the middle of downtown LA, with Ty Dolla Sign and various indie artists hitting the stage to perform in one area during the first night, and ScHoolboy Q, A$AP Rocky, Tyler the Creator, and more rocking it the next. In a nearby reggae-filled Budweiser “living room” created by L.A. clothing brand Liana, guests winded their hips after snapping photos in an open photo booth with Budweiser-wallpapered walls.

Since this was also a celebration of L.A.’s fashion scene, local brands teamed up with Budweiser to create plenty of themed merch. Temporary Forever’s design-driven installation and LA based-label WEDIDIT’s booth were just a couple of places where attendees could snag goodies. During day two, there was also a curated daytime fashion market filled with L.A.-based designers and brands.
Because beer guzzling works up an appetite, there was no shortage of food thanks to a few food trucks around the event. Comfort grub staples like ice cream from Ice Cream Truck, tacos from Mexicali, Burger Lorde burgers, and Chinese-inspired rice and noodle bowls from Chinese Laundry, were available for free for Budland-goers.
Cheers to you, Budland. You topped our weekend.
